Our story starts with getting to know our owner, Kathie Davis, who lives in Orange County (CA) with her husband and three children. Her impressionable teenage years were spent immersed in a philanthropic organization called Rainbow Girls which she excelled in and accepted a state level position during college. In addition to her studies, she traveled throughout California and other states to share her love of the organization, help the elderly, sick, disabled, blind, and burned victims. She raised money for underprivileged families, assisted with Canine Companions, Ahead with Horses, Make a Wish Foundation, and guided young ladies in the ways of public speaking, integrity, patriotism, and service. Kathie was raised in a volunteer world with mother and father entrepreneurs that modeled hard work and business savvy. Her opportunities were abundant and she knew she would leave an indelible stamp on this world.

Kathie earned her BFA in graphic design and studied at CSUF and The Royal College of Art in London. She worked in the printing industry for 10 years and moved back to Southern California to start a family and business.  She filled her days with sport and school activities in support of her three kids while working the quiet, late hours on projects for her clients. She dove back into the volunteer world with PTA, Girl Scouts, and teaching art at Robinson Elementary School. After surviving breast cancer, Kathie's perspective was solidified... Live in the moment, help those in need, reach for your dreams, and treat the planet with respect. Her favorite quote, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right” prompted a leap of faith to launch this company with the objective of giving back to organizations and communities that have supported her. Her creative and business worlds merged together when she launched Cards That Give Back (CTGB) in the fall of 2019.

Cards That Give Back is an exclusive online stationery store that returns 10% (purchase price) to supporting nonprofit organizations. Customers love their personalized cards and can't wait to send them to loved ones, all-the-while supporting their favorite school, church, or nonprofit organization. GIVING BACK continues with our reduced ecological footprint as cards are produced in the USA using recycled materials for printing and packaging. Our online storefront and social media streams offer a more efficient use of resources and eliminate the need for leasehold space. Employees work virtually which allows for both family and job flexibility. CTGB embraces arts advocacy, imagination, dedication, communication, diversity, and talent.
